After completing its acquisition of SmartRecruiters, SAP announced that SmartRecruiters will entirely replace the recruiting component of its SuccessFactors cloud-based HR tool. SuccessFactors users will have between three to five years to complete the migration, with SAP planning to release a contract signal by the end of Q1 to facilitate this transition. Migration tooling is under development to enable an elegant transfer of configurations and data from SuccessFactors recruiting to SmartRecruiters.
The integration extends to AI capabilities, as SmartRecruiters’ AI assistant Winston will be incorporated into the SAP ecosystem alongside SAP’s Joule AI products. SAP is expanding its AI offerings with new agents scheduled for next year, including those for career development, people intelligence, and employee self-service. These enhancements aim to improve HR processes and data insights.
While SuccessFactors recruitment module users will need to adopt SmartRecruiters, current SmartRecruiters customers will not be required to switch to SuccessFactors. SmartRecruiters will continue interfacing with other HR products, maintaining flexibility for its existing user base. This strategy mitigates risks related to customer disruption and preserves SmartRecruiters’ market presence beyond SAP’s environment.
