Oracle Announces Multicloud Universal Credit Option

Source: CIO Magazine

The new multicloud universal credit option from Oracle aims to support enterprises in building a single consumption model across multiple cloud environments. This facilitates smooth management and governance for procuring and operating Oracle databases, thus enhancing operational efficiency. Customers will benefit from a consistent contractual framework and flexible procurement processes, allowing them to run Oracle databases in preferred regions as per the marketplace policies of cloud service providers.

According to IDC executive Dave McCarthy, procurement and governance can often hinder innovation. Oracle has laid a technological foundation for implementing multicloud services across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, and now simplifies procurement, contracts, and governance procedures to offer enhanced flexibility. This multicloud universal credit is expected to accelerate the widespread adoption of Oracle’s multicloud services. The program is designed not only for Oracle databases but also applies to broader OCI service procurement, enabling deployment of Oracle AI database workloads in all available regions across major cloud platforms.
