Under this agreement, the Ministry of the Interior, Naver, and Kakao will implement AI agent functions to facilitate easier access to public services via popular private platforms. The pilot service, dubbed ‘AI National Secretary’, aims to allow citizens to use public services through simple everyday conversations without navigating complex processes.
Naver will build the AI agent based on its own ‘HyperclovaX’ AI foundation model and closely collaborate with the Ministry of the Interior to integrate it with public services. Kakao will enhance its AI technology with various public institutions’ APIs to create the AI National Secretary, understanding user context and intent to provide actionable responses.
Initial public services targeted for the pilot include issuing electronic certificates and booking idle public resources. Naver plans to enhance user experience through personalized recommendations and service integration via web and mobile. The commitment from both companies aims to foster a seamless public service environment through innovative technologies, emphasizing collaboration between the government and private sectors.
