Naver’s partnership with NVIDIA marks a significant step towards integrating AI into practical industry applications, known as ‘Physical AI.’ The collaboration aims to connect the digital and physical realms, enhancing the use of AI in key sectors such as semiconductors and energy. A memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been established to jointly develop infrastructure that supports AI integration into various industrial processes.
Additionally, Naver aims to discover and promote specialized AI applications tailored to different industries, ensuring that optimal AI technologies rapidly gain traction on the ground. By merging Naver’s digital twin and robotics capabilities with NVIDIA’s advanced simulation platforms, they plan to accurately replicate industrial environments in virtual spaces, enabling AI-assisted decision-making and control. This initiative aligns with Naver’s vision of ‘Sovereign AI 2.0,’ which seeks to broaden the AI framework from language and culture to include essential national industries, thereby enhancing national competitiveness.
