The X Artificial Intelligence and Data Survey in the insurance sector, conducted by ICEA with Minsait (Indra Group), concluded that 80% of Spanish insurers have implemented AI projects. This figure rises to 90% when including those in development, indicating significant technological progress. Additionally, 76.5% of the market acknowledges that AI is transforming the entire value chain, including underwriting, risk analysis, and fraud detection. Furthermore, 74% of insurers developing AI projects have specific plans to comply with the European AI Act, demonstrating commitment to governance and responsible use of technologies.

The report highlights the emergence of agent-based AI, driving companies towards intelligent, proactive ecosystems. Notably, 46.4% of entities using AI employ intelligent agents in real processes, with 28.6% exploring their applicability or developing pilot projects. This marks a turning point in AI evolution, where agents can learn and act autonomously to achieve business objectives, enhancing operational capacity. According to Andrés Duque from Minsait, Spanish insurers are increasingly placing data and AI at the center of decision-making, leading to improved agility and process optimization. AI is shifting from a reactive tool to a proactive collaborator in business management, enhancing human intelligence rather than replacing it.
