In the third quarter of 2025, Kaspersky’s report indicates that 47 million attacks utilizing various malware types were thwarted. Mobile threats significantly included Trojans, which impacted 15.78% of all targeted users. Furthermore, over 197,000 malicious packages were documented, with mobile banking Trojans as a primary concern, revealing the ongoing challenges in mobile security.

The report also unveils distinct findings on mobile application malware, where Trojans led by the Mamont family remained prominent despite fluctuations in the statistics. The quarterly insights demonstrate a slight decrease in total mobile attacks at 3.47 million. New malware variants were uncovered, including the BADBOX backdoor and sophisticated Trojan-Downloader instances, highlighting the evolving tactics employed by cybercriminals as they adapt to countermeasures.
