Everest ransomware group has claimed a major cyber breach of Under Armour, announcing the theft of 343 GB of sensitive data. The breach, which was reported on November 16, 2025, includes various personal and corporate information that poses substantial risks to millions of individuals. Among the compromised data are client records containing transaction histories, user IDs, email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, and passport details. This extensive dataset suggests the targeting of Under Armour’s customer relationship management and e-commerce databases, likely linked to marketing systems.
The group issued a seven-day ultimatum to Under Armour via Tox messenger, threatening to leak the data unless their demands are met, although no ransom amount was stipulated. Under Armour, which operates in over 190 countries, has not confirmed the breach as of November 18. Previous breaches at Under Armour primarily exposed usernames and emails without affecting financial data, but this incident is more extensive, potentially facilitating targeted fraud through exposed transaction logs and personal information. Cybersecurity experts are now advising customers to monitor their accounts and implement stronger security measures due to the heightened risks stemming from this incident.
