On November 12, 2025, law enforcement in East Netherlands executed a highly impactful operation that dismantled a prominent criminal infrastructure. Approximately 250 servers located in data centers in The Hague and Zoetermeer were seized, which had been powering numerous virtual servers utilized for illegal activities. This event marks one of the largest infrastructure takedowns targeting bulletproof hosting services, which are often pivotal in facilitating cybercrimes across various jurisdictions.
The seized hosting provider marketed itself deceptively as providing legitimate services while guaranteeing its clients anonymity and immunity from law enforcement. Despite appearing to operate under the guise of legality, the company had been implicated in over 80 criminal investigations since 2022, establishing itself as a critical enabler of cybercriminal enterprises. The infrastructure supported a wide array of illegal activities, including ransomware attacks, botnets, phishing campaigns, and distribution of exploitative material. With the seizure, law enforcement aimed to analyze the extensive data recovered to trace criminal networks and represent a significant step in combating cyber threats.
