ING continues its commitment to digital transformation with the opening of a new technology hub in Madrid, Spain. This hub will be part of a broader strategy involving multiple centers across different countries, specifically designed to meet the evolving needs of the financial institution in a digitally-driven market.

The newly established center is expected to generate over a thousand specialized jobs in various fields, including technology, data analysis, and risk management, by 2029. Konstantin Gordievitch, who has been with ING for nearly two decades, is leading this initiative. This expansion underscores Spain’s importance as a key market for ING, with plans to grow into new segments where the bank currently does not operate, such as private banking and small to medium enterprises (SMEs). Moreover, the company’s technology hubs are described as the backbone of ING’s global operations, providing critical IT services that support the bank’s digital transformation and enhance customer service excellence.
